Well this idea for a photoshoot all started when I spotted a friend of mine Robin, posting up on Twitter that he had found this wonderful 1950's wedding dress during a house clearance in Westgate. Of course my first thought was I must use this for a photoshoot, then a few weeks later whilst shopping in Claire's favourite shop Cath Kidston in Bluewater, we started chatting weddings and all things vintage with Rebecca, who is a vintage fashion blogger and tv presenter and decided we would have to collaborate on a vintage photo shoot and this dress was just perfect for the occasion.
We decided on Reculver Towers, a favourite picnic spot of mine and somewhere that Rebecca had never been before and although it was a bit on the windy side that day, the weather was beautiful! We took a variety of shots up on the cliff top where the ruins of the towers remain and some more down on the pebbled beach. Rebecca was dying to have some photos taken in the water too and she had also brought along a vintage green dress which was one that she was given by her sister.
Rebecca is a fantastic model to work with, very natural and being a keen photographer herself she was totally happy moving around and dancing in front of the camera (yes she did also used to be a dancer which was handy) We are already chatting about collaborating on another shoot and I am very much looking forward to it!
Thanks goes out to both Rebecca and Robin for helping make this shoot happen!
