Another new venue for us today, The Swan, a Michelin listed Brasserie in the beautiful market town on West Malling. Everything was under one roof, ceremony and reception apart from us starting the day at Matt & Marsha's home to get some relaxed shots of Marsha getting ready with her family.
From start to finish this was a lovely, relaxed wedding. Marsha's pale gold wedding dress, very much 1920's inspired was beautiful, Matt looked very sharp in his tailored blue suit and as it was a small and intimate wedding, we had plenty of opportunity to mingle and chat with the guests. There was a saxophonist for the ceremony and drinks reception, we also had use of the courtyard garden for some photographs plus got to try the amazing food that this place serves. Highly recommended for the food!
After the meal, the evening continued to be more of a relaxed drinks reception rather than your traditional party with a loud DJ. Light background music was played which was lovely, as everyone could still chat, enjoy a drink at the bar and continue to mingle with the other guests. A beautiful day with such lovely people!
Oh how we love a Armed Forces wedding! We do get a few wedding bookings a year from couples in the Armed Forces, Police & NHS, I think the fact that we always offer the 10% discount is a definite plus when couples are looking at booking their wedding photography through us. And today we knew it was going to be a beautiful day!
Sabrina booked us whilst Asten was away but she knew from the start exactly what she wanted and had a clear vision of their wedding day. We didn't have any wedding preparation so we started the day at The Orchard Suite in Maidstone. The ceremony was beautiful and felt very intimate with how the venue set up the seating. We were actually able to move around a lot at this venue and could get shots from behind them both as well as from the aisle and side.
There are some great places around the venue that you can head off for some portrait shots too, as well as being able to use the front courtyard and the gazebo to the side. We took them for a walk over to Mallards Way Lake along with Sabrina's son, Jamal, who was a very helpful assistant, suggesting photo ideas for Asten & Sabrina.
The evening reception was a crazy night, lots of hilarious wedding related games were played on the dance-floor, they also booked a photo booth through us and we got to work with one of our favourite DJs again Andy Stapleton. We also have to mention the gorgeous wedding cake by Iced Images. Another beautiful day for a truly deserving couple.
A wedding that started with a family shoot for Martyn & Hannah, along with their 2 children, Daisy & Eden plus their family Pug Ted. They loved their photos and so decided to book us for their wedding at the stunning Port Lympne Hotel. Everything about this wedding was beautiful! Daisy is literally the dream flower girl, she would have posed for us all day long if she could. The Aspinall Suite was beautifully decorated with vintage birdcages and flowers plus had many personal touches added, made by Hannah from her own business, Daisy-Rae Designs. And how could you top off any wedding better than a safari around the park for the guests. Everything about this wedding was about love, family and happiness and it was beautiful from start to finish!
