We had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Gordon and Sofia on Friday 11th May at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Hounslow, close to Heathrow Airport.
We arrived before the ceremony to photograph the bridal preparations in her hotel suite and to get some relaxed shots of the bridal party, family and friends before the ceremony started.
Once the ceremony was finished and we had taken all the typical wedding ceremony images, such as the vows, signing the register etc, I accompanied the bride and groom to the gardens around the hotel to get some beautiful and emotive portrait images of them both as newly weds and was extremely happy with the images taken. They were both so relaxed at this point that I always feel as though we get typically some of the best, natural images from this point onwards.
Meanwhile, my assistant photographer and fiancee Claire was taking relaxed, candid shots of the family and friends in the bar and reception areas. Once the portraits shots were finished, we managed to get all the family and friends together for the group shots, taken on the stunning staircase within the hotel.
Eventually came the time for the wedding reception to start so we moved into the beautifully decorated, pink themed reception room to get some last few images of the couple being welcomed into the reception by their guests and got some great shots of the guests breaking into and blowing the bubbles placed on each table. It was a fun atmosphere and everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. It was a very enjoyable wedding to photograph and we both wish them all the happiness with their new married life together.
