JOE & AMEY ST MARTINS CHURCH & CHAUCER CLUB CANTERBURY
On Saturday 29th June, we headed just down the road to Canterbury to attend and photograph the wedding for the lovely Joe and Amey. We were looking forward to photographing this wedding as we found out that St Martins Church is actually the oldest church in England thats still in use, from the starting point of the revival of Christianity in England in 597 AD by Saint Augustine. We love to photograph anywhere thats filled with history!
The wedding preparations were quite random as they were literally getting ready at houses opposite each each so we had to be careful there was no peeping through curtains lol but also handy as we could each work with them both.
A limo ride to the church which was literally 5 minutes away. Followed by a selection of photos in the church gardens and grounds with the sun now beaming through the trees and the day starting to really warm up!
Everyone then headed off to the reception venue at The Chaucer Club, again just a few minutes drive away. We arrived and chatted to the guests, getting some great photos while everyone waited for the bar to open. I think everyone needed a pint as it was now hitting the mid 20's! There was dancing, balloon fights between the kids which we confess to getting involved in too haha. A relaxed and fun day for sure!
