Well this photoshoot concept happened literally within days of seeing a poppy field on the way back from a wedding consultation in Canterbury. We pulled over to have a look and I just thought, this is amazing, I need to arrange a shoot here as soon as I can as with poppy fields you just don't have much time with them!
So Claire said, well ask Rebecca as she would love this. I had literally just done the 1950's vintage wedding dress shoot with Rebecca a month or so before. She jumped at the chance and within a couple of days, we were in the poppy field, camera at the ready!
She brought along a great selection of dresses and accessories and we had the added bonus of it being a beautiful and hot summers day with blue skies for miles! We started off the shoot in the poppy field as planned and got some great shots of Rebecca in a pretty floral dress with a cute vintage style umbrella.
Another idea I had was that there was a randomly placed sofa (not a clue why) in amongst a farmers field just a few minutes along the road so we moved along and Rebecca changed into the cupcake dress that I remember her talking about buying off of another fashion blogger because she loved it so much.
There was lots of random jumping off the sofa and just generally having fun with this shoot! We got to see plenty of butterflies too which is something you don't always get to see a lot of nowadays and some of them even decided they wanted to jump into the photos with Rebecca haha. This shoot was great fun and I am sure that no doubt I will end up working with her again soon. I think a Whitstable retro shoot is on the cards next!
